Job Summary:
The Kirkcaldy Salvation Army Community Church, working in partnership with Glenrothes & Cowdenbeath Salvation Army centres, are busy expressions of the mission of the church and community that provide spaces for food, conversation and connection with the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
As Cook, you will take the lead on the provision of food for our various lunch clubs, coffee mornings, warm spaces and other food provision, working alongside dedicated teams of officers, employees and volunteers.
Working closely with the Corps Officers and named responsible persons in each corps, you will adapt a menu to suit the needs of our customer and use the provisions purchased and donated thus reducing costs and waste.
Successful candidate will have:

Good knowledge and experience of preparing and serving food and use of kitchen tools and equipment.

Have up to date knowledge of food hygiene requirements and ability to complete all relevant record keeping.

Proven experience of dealing with the general public and providing good customer service.

Hold a current Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to undertake qualification & complete within an agreed time.

Must have a current driving licence and access to a car.
