Job Responsibilities
- Carry out repairs and maintenance work within domestic properties
- Complete joinery and general manual labour tasks to a high standard
- Use a PDA or similar handheld device to receive work instructions and update job progress
- Follow work schedules and complete tasks within agreed timescales
- Deliver excellent customer service when working in occupied homes
- Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Accurately record completed work and report any issues identified
- Adapt to changing workloads and operational requirements when necessary
Person Specification
Requirements
- Experience in repairs and maintenance of domestic dwellings
- Ability to use a PDA or similar handheld device for managing work orders
- Good understanding of health and safety legislation and safe working practices
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Customer-focused approach with good interpersonal skills

Nice-to-Have Requirements
- Experience working within a social housing or housing maintenance environment
- Familiarity with NHF Schedule of Rates or similar systems
