Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and take orders efficiently, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Serve food and beverages promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation and service
- Assist with setting up and clearing tables, ensuring cleanliness and organisation throughout shifts
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including specials and dietary options, to assist guests effectively
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure the bar and restaurant are well-equipped throughout service
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or serving roles is preferred but not essential; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are most important
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy service periods
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with guests
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends and evenings if required
- A responsible attitude towards health and safety regulations, including adherence to COVID-19 guidelines where applicable
