About the Role
We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and experienced Musical Theatre Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging group musical theatre classes as well as one-to-one private singing lessons, inspiring students of all ages and abilities to develop their confidence, performance skills and vocal technique.
This is an exciting opportunity for a performer and teacher who loves working with young people and wants to help students grow both on and off the stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver fun, engaging and age-appropriate musical theatre group classes.
- Teach elements of singing, acting, movement, characterisation and performance.
- Deliver high-quality private singing lessons, tailored to each student's individual goals and ability.
- Develop students' vocal technique, confidence, musicality, stage presence and performance skills.
- Prepare students for performances, showcases, auditions and examinations where appropriate.
- Create a positive, inclusive and encouraging learning environment.
- Adapt teaching styles and lesson content to meet the needs of different ages, abilities and learning styles.
- Communicate professionally with students, parents and the wider teaching team.
- Support rehearsals, showcases and other studio performances when required.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in teaching musical theatre and/or singing.
- A confident and capable vocalist with a strong understanding of vocal technique.
- Passionate about musical theatre and performance.
- Energetic, creative and enthusiastic when working with children and young people.
- Able to make lessons fun, engaging and supportive while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
- Comfortable teaching both groups and one-to-one lessons.
- Reliable, organised and professional.
- Able to adapt lessons to suit different ages and abilities.
- Ideally experienced in preparing students for performances, auditions and/or musical theatre examinations.
- A professional performer, musical theatre graduate or holder of relevant teaching qualifications is desirable but not essential.
