Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Domestic Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in residential properties. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment, providing essential cleaning services to ensure our clients' homes are comfortable and welcoming. Previous experience in janitorial, hotel, or commercial cleaning is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas within clients’ homes, including kitchens, bathrooms, living spaces, and bedrooms
- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, and polishing surfaces to a high standard
- Clean windows, mirrors, and fixtures as required
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used efficiently and stored properly after use
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning tasks
- Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
- Occasionally assist with specialised cleaning tasks such as carpet or upholstery cleaning if needed
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with clients
Skills
- Previous experience in janitorial, hotel, or commercial cleaning is desirable
- Knowledge of effective cleaning techniques and use of cleaning products and equipment
- Basic cooking skills are considered an advantage for preparing light refreshments if required during visits
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate politely and professionally with clients
- Organised with strong attention to detail to ensure all areas are cleaned to a high standard
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods
