Holston Services Ltd is a property maintenance and construction contractor operating across Wolverhampton, Walsall, Willenhall, Darlaston, Bilston, Wednesbury and the wider West Midlands.
We're expanding. We work for landlords, letting agents, homeowners and commercial clients, and we're building a permanent bench of self-employed subcontractors we can call on week in, week out.
We're not looking for a one-off body to fill a gap. We're looking for trades we can build a long-term working relationship with.
THE TRADE WE'RE HIRING FOR
We need qualified electricians (18th Edition, NVQ Level 3) for consumer unit upgrades, rewires, fault-finding, socket and lighting installs, EICRs and remedial works. Ability to issue certification is essential.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Essential:
Self-employed status with your own UTR number, registered under CIS
Public Liability Insurance (minimum £2 million) — certificate required before first job
Own tools and transport
Proof of right to work in the UK
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent
18th Edition qualification and ability to issue certification
Ability to complete work to a high standard, first time
Turn up when you say you will — this is the single biggest thing we're screening for
Desirable:
NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA registration
CSCS card
Experience working on tenanted or occupied properties
Willingness to take photos of completed work for our records
Availability for occasional short-notice or emergency call-outs
THE STANDARD WE HOLD
We're straight with our subcontractors and we expect the same back. If you say you'll be there Tuesday at 8, be there Tuesday at 8. If a job's going to overrun, tell us early. Leave the property clean and treat the customer with respect — a lot of our work is in people's homes and in tenanted properties.
Do that consistently, and you'll have as much work as you can handle.
RATES
£200 To £260 a day
Rates are agreed per job or per day depending on the work. We pay fairly for quality — we don't grind people down on price, and we don't expect to be undercut on standards either.
