Specifications Technologist

We are currently recruiting for a Specifications Technologist to join an established business based in the Nantwich area on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
Key Responsibilities

Create, manage and approve product specifications to meet internal standards, customer requirements and relevant legislation.

Prepare accurate ingredient declarations, nutritional information and allergen data in line with product and customer requirements.

Generate and review accurate, legally compliant packaging and label copy.

Review and approve artwork, ensuring technical accuracy, regulatory compliance and adherence to agreed guidelines.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date product specifications, technical data and records across relevant systems

Respond to customer queries relating to product specifications, technical information and artwork, providing clear and timely resolutions.

Maintain a strong understanding of current food legislation, labelling regulations and relevant technical/customer requirements.
About You
-
Strong knowledge of product specifications, artwork systems and industry codes of practice.

Experience in a technical, specification or quality role within the food industry.

Good understanding of customer and retailer specification systems and portals.

Strong knowledge of food science, manufacturing processes and food safety.

Experience managing technical customer requirements.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
