We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience with MIG welding. This role involves fabricating and assembling metal components to create high-quality products, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards.
Duties
- Operate power tools and hand tools to fabricate metal components according to specifications.
- Perform MIG welding techniques to assemble parts and structures.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand project requirements.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance product quality.
- Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.
- Work with sheet metal, ensuring precise cuts and welds for optimal assembly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fabrication and welding, with a strong understanding of mechanical principles ( 3 years experience minimum preferred).
- Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment.
- Familiarity with MIG welding techniques is essential; additional welding certifications are advantageous.
- Previous experience in Aluminium welding would be advantageous.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations in fabrication processes.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
You may be required to assist in other departments as required on an ad hoc basis.
