Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding on used shipping containers, adding door & window frames, new roof and wall panels. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality products, ensuring safety, durability, and craftsmanship. Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding and other welding techniques to join metal parts accurately according to specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other materials.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to guide fabrication and assembly processes.
- Measure materials precisely using basic math skills to ensure correct dimensions and fit.
- Conduct quality checks on welded joints and fabricated components to meet safety standards and quality benchmarks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in troubleshooting fabrication issues and suggest improvements for efficiency and quality.
Experience
- Proven experience in MIG welding, with a strong understanding of welding standards.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication involving sheet metal, mechanical assembly, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Mechanical knowledge related to metal properties, welding techniques, and assembly processes.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, or blueprints accurately.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments.
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to welding and fabrication environments is preferred.
