Clinical Embryologist - 15 Month Fixed Term Contract

Salary: Up to £50,400.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Clinical Embryologist to join their team of staff in the Fertility department.
This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
- You provide efficient and skilled embryology and andrology for all aspects of the infertility service, providing training to junior embryologists participating in the support of their work in accordance with the HFEA code of conduct.

You perform efficient embryo transfers, IVF inseminations and Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injections (ICSI).

You keep accurate and precise records of all procedures undertaken, including sperm donor and semen storage.

You strictly adhere to all laboratory standard operating policies and procedures, participating in the update and annual review of policies and procedures.

You take responsibility for all cryopreserved material, their storage, expiry and billing methods.

You conduct an annual audit of all cryopreserved material from sample through to patient notes in line with Circle Health Group’s Quality Assurance policy.

You comply with all relevant mandatory training.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Minimum two years’ experience in human clinical embryology and andrology.

Knowledge of HFEA Code of Practice and documentation.

Experience of customer care, including interacting with challenging customers and situations.

HCPC Registered Clinical Scientist.

Theoretical and practical knowledge in Embryology and Semenology.

Minimum BSc in Biological Science.

Intracytoplasmic sperm injection licence, with a proven track record

of success.

Patient and caring approach to customer care.

Able to work under pressure.

Strong interpersonal skills.
