Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bank Care Assistant to join our team and provide exceptional support to residents in a care home environment or through home care services. Responsibilities
- Support residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming while respecting their dignity and privacy
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times using appropriate techniques and equipment
- Help residents with daily routines including meal preparation, medication reminders, and recreational activities
- Maintain accurate care plans tailored to individual needs, updating them regularly in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery
- Use IT systems to record care activities, incidents, and updates efficiently and accurately
- Drive company vehicles when required to support home care visits or transportation needs
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided
- Valid driving license is advantageous for roles involving transportation duties
- Good command of English language skills for effective communication with residents and team members
- Basic IT literacy to navigate electronic care records and communication tools
- Strong communication skills with an empathetic approach towards residents’ needs
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and adhere to health and safety guidelines
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or shifts as required
