The Northern Collective, an independent hospitality, retail & leisure group, is launching an exciting new venture — Castleton Kitchen, a welcoming food and drink hub set within the beautiful village of Castleton.
Opening soon, Castleton Kitchen will be a relaxed, informal space serving great coffee and freshly prepared food throughout the day.
Designed to suit a busy visitor destination, the venue will cater to walkers, families, tourists, and locals alike — offering both eat-in and takeaway options in a friendly, high-footfall setting.
We are looking for a motivated, reliable, and hard-working Line Cook to join our kitchen team and support the day-to-day running of food service at Castleton Kitchen. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering consistently good food.
The Role
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and specifications
- Assist with meal preparation and food assembly during busy service periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Support the team in managing inventory levels and restocking ingredients as needed
- Ensure timely delivery of orders to the service area, maintaining quality standards
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver excellent customer service, including serving customers when required
- Contribute to menu development by suggesting new ideas based on current trends and customer preferences
About You
- Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, meal preparation, and food safety regulations
- Experience with food preparation and kitchen organisation
- Familiarity with catering services and serving procedures is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- A genuine passion for culinary arts and delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends and evenings if necessary

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
