We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients home settings. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support clients in following their individual care plans to ensure their specific needs are met.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client progress and any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes, ensuring confidentiality is upheld at all times.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings to continually improve care practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients.
- Familiarity with care plans and an understanding of home care practices is desirable.
- A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
