A superb opportunity for an experienced General Operative to join a leading UK supplier of staircases, windows and doors. For more than a decade, we have worked in partnership with several of the UK's leading house builders, property developers and the general public. We are now looking to expand our customer base and a key appointment is required to support our next level of growth.
THE COMPANY
Central Joinery Group is comprised of three divisions, each specialising in manufacturing an extensive range of high-quality, beautifully crafted & responsibly sourced timber products.
In 2004 and 2008, we opened two purpose built-facilities, representing an investment of over £1.75m. Our environmentally friendly Swadlincote sites are strategically located at the heart of the country, close to major road networks, ensuring reliable nationwide deliveries through our modern vehicle fleet.
Continually striving for a lower carbon footprint Central Joinery Group has installed both solar panel and biomass heating systems to heat our factory's environments, therefore utilising the waste materials generated and reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?
Reporting to the Workshop Manager you will be expected to:
- Operating the relevant equipment as required
- Monitoring the quality of the work being processed
- Checking work against drawings to ensure accuracy
- Picking and packing components ready for transport
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment and following all Health and Safety policies
- Liaising with the Workshop Manager to ensure production is on track
- Any other task as requested by a manager
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
To be successful in the role, we are looking for:
- An understanding of the fundamental methods of joinery construction would be advantageous.
- A positive attitude and a good team player, being able to quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
