An exciting opportunity has become available for a self-employed Operator to run the Carpenters Arms in the heart of Ossett.
The Carpenters Arms is a well-established town centre pub with a loyal customer base and excellent potential for growth. Situated in a prominent location close to Ossett Market Place, the pub has built a reputation as a welcoming local offering quality food, drinks and great hospitality.
We're looking for an ambitious, customer-focused operator who can build on the pub's existing reputation, grow sales and establish the Carpenters Arms as the go-to venue within the local community.
What you'll be responsible for
As a Self-Employed Operator, you'll have the freedom to run your own business while benefiting from the support of an experienced pub company.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the day-to-day operation of the pub.
- Recruiting, managing and developing your team.
- Delivering excellent customer service and hospitality.
- Driving food and drink sales.
- Creating reasons for customers to visit through events, entertainment and community engagement.
- Managing costs and maximising profitability.
- Maintaining high operational, food safety and licensing standards.
About you
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience managing a successful pub, restaurant or hospitality business.
- Has a strong understanding of both food and wet-led operations.
- Is commercially aware and confident managing sales, margins and labour.
- Can recruit, motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Is passionate about creating a welcoming environment for customers.
- Enjoys becoming part of the local community and building lasting customer relationships.
- Has the drive and ambition to grow an already established business.
