Construction Cleaner – Norwich (Adhoc/Cover)
We are looking for a dependable and flexible Construction Cleaner to join us on an adhoc cover basis at our active construction site in Norwich. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-focused, reliable and available at short notice to maintain a clean, safe and professional site environment.
As a cover operative, hours will vary week to week — this is flexible work that fits around your availability, with the potential for more regular hours as you become an established part of the team.

Shift Patterns
Shifts are available across Monday to Sunday on a rotating adhoc basis. We operate the following shift patterns, with days and specific hours confirmed on a shift-by-shift basis:
- Early shifts starting from 08:00
- Late shifts finishing at 18:30
- Shift lengths typically range from 6 to 8 hours
- Total weekly hours will vary depending on site requirements
This makes the role ideal for someone looking for genuinely flexible work that fits around other commitments, with the opportunity to pick up extra hours as they become available.
Your Responsibilities
- Carrying out construction and site cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and detailed cleans
- Cleaning welfare facilities, restrooms and site cabins
- Removing construction dust and debris to keep the site safe, clean and presentable
- Maintaining consistently high cleaning standards in line with company expectations
- Reporting any health and safety concerns or maintenance issues to management
- Using cleaning equipment and products correctly and safely in accordance with all health and safety procedures
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in construction or commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential
- A reliable, proactive approach with strong attention to detail
- Flexibility to take on shifts across any day of the week, including weekends
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A good understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites
- Reliable personal transport is essential due to the site location — applicants must be able to travel to site consistently and punctually
