About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated, approachable, and proactive SIA Door Supervisor Security Officer to join our security team. Operating 24/7, 365 days a year, our security team is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment across the site for all personnel, visitors, and assets.
Job Purpose
To provide a visible, professional, and customer-focused security presence across the site. You will protect premises, physical assets, and personnel while assisting individuals with inquiries, emergency responses, and incident mitigation.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Site Protection & Patrols
- Perform regular foot and mobile security patrols across all site buildings, grounds, and access points.
- Monitor access control systems, arm and disarm intruder alarms, and secure or unlock site facilities as scheduled.
- Operate and monitor the site CCTV system in compliance with standard data protection regulations.
Incident Response & Emergency Management
- Act as a first responder to site emergencies, including medical incidents, fire alarms, and security breaches.
- De-escalate aggressive, disruptive, or unauthorized behavior using strong verbal skills and sound judgment.
- Cooperate closely with local emergency services (Police, Fire, and Ambulance) during major site incidents.
- Accurately log, record, and report all security incidents, daily activities, and health & safety hazards via written and digital incident logging systems.
Customer Service & Assistance
- Provide a welcoming, high-profile security presence to offer guidance, directions, and assistance to site staff and visitors.
- Assist with crowd safety management and access control during scheduled events held on site.
- Support site welfare out-of-hours by escalating any safety or welfare concerns to appropriate management protocols.
Person Specification & Requirements
Essential Criteria
- Licensing: A valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (mandatory).
- Screening: Must be able to pass full security screening in accordance with BS7858 standards (5-year checkable work/education history).
- Experience: Previous experience working within security, preferably in a corporate, public-facing, or large-scale site environment.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer-service mindset.
- De-escalation: Proven ability to remain calm, objective, and professional under pressure or during conflict situations.
- Health & Safety: Sound working knowledge of basic health and safety practices, fire safety protocols, and dynamic risk assessment.
Desirable Criteria
- Valid SIA CCTV Operator License.
- First Aid at Work (FAAW) qualification (or willingness to complete training).
- Full UK Driving Licence.

Pay: From £13.50 per hour
