Role Overview
Coordinate enterprise software implementation projects while ensuring successful user adoption and business integration.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of enterprise systems, including cloud-based solutions such as AWS and Azure.
- Develop and maintain system architecture diagrams, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and security standards.
- Configure and manage operating systems including Windows, Linux, and UNIX environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Integrate diverse systems using web services such as REST, SOAP, and APIs, facilitating efficient data exchange across platforms.
- Manage databases including SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and NoSQL solutions like MongoDB or Cassandra; optimise queries for performance.
- Implement load balancing strategies and system redundancy to ensure high availability and resilience.
- Utilise DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, VMware ESXi, and VMWare to automate deployment pipelines and manage virtualisation environments.
- Apply system administration best practices including firewall configuration, VPN setup, DHCP management, DNS configuration, and information security protocols.
- Develop scripts using Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, Python, Ruby on Rails or C++ to automate routine tasks and optimise workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design microservices architectures employing service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles.
- Ensure compliance with SDLC methodologies while managing project timelines using Agile or other project management frameworks.
- Troubleshoot system issues through debugging techniques across various programming languages such as JavaScript, C#, Java, VBA or XML-based technologies.
- Maintain documentation of system configurations and procedures; participate in continuous integration processes to improve deployment efficiency.

Pay: £84,000.00 per year
