We are seeking a Night Cleaning Operative to join our award-winning team at Stobo Castle Health Spa – a family-run destination spa set in the beautiful Scottish Borders countryside.
Hours: Full-time
Shift Pattern: Night Shift – 9.15pm to 6.00am
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to help maintain the exceptional cleanliness and hygiene standards of our luxury spa facilities. Working overnight, you will ensure the spa is perfectly prepared for guests and members each morning.
This role involves the safe and effective use of professional cleaning chemicals, equipment, and machinery, while ensuring all areas of the spa are presented to the highest possible standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out thorough cleaning of all spa areas, including treatment rooms, relaxation spaces, changing rooms, showers, toilets, corridors, and reception areas.
- Clean and sanitise high-touch surfaces to maintain strict hygiene standards.
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, and polish floors to ensure a consistently pristine environment.
- Safely clean and maintain wet areas such as the poolside, sauna, and steam rooms.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Identify and report any maintenance issues or potential hazards.
- Assist with securing the premises during overnight operations when required.
Skills and Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience, ideally within hospitality, spa, hotel, or leisure environments.
- Experience using commercial cleaning equipment and machinery is desirable.
- Knowledge of safe chemical handling and COSHH procedures.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly during night shifts.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining luxury standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
