We are looking for a highly organised, proactive Procurement & Operations Coordinator to support our continued growth and maintain high standards across purchasing and day-to-day operations.
This is a hand-on role with purchasing at its core. You will coordinate the buying of goods and services, manage supplier relationships, track orders and deliveries and support the wider practical operations of the business. You will be someone who enjoys solving problems, keeping multiple priorities moving and improving the way things are done.
What you’ll do
- Source goods and services, obtain quotations and compare options.
- Raise purchase orders and manage them through to delivery.
- Follow up with suppliers on order confirmations delivery dates, shortages, returns and credits.
- Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier, pricing and contract records.
- Monitor sock levels and arrange replenishment of office supplies, PPE, equipment and consumables.
- Build productive supplier relationships and help negotiate improved pricing, terms and service.
- Track open orders, supplier performance, spend and cost-saving opportunities.Support invoice and delivery queries with supplies and finance.
- Coordinate practical operational requirements such as facilities, maintenance, service providers, travel, accommodation, deliveries and equipment servicing.
- Maintain operational trackers for renewals, servicing, compliance dates and key supplier commitments.
- Identify and implement improvements to purchasing and operations processes.
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in purchasing procurement coordination, buying, office operations or a similar role.
- Experience raising purchase orders, obtaining quotations and managing suppliers.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with suppliers and colleages.
- Commercial awareness, with the ability to balance cost, quality and delivery requirements.
- Comfortable using spreadsheets or management software, purchasing systems, Mac OS and Microsoft Office.
- A practical, reliable and solutions-focused approach.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and follow tasks through to completion.
