A vacancy for a Production Supervisor is now available at Yorkshire Premier Meats at our South Kirkby site. The main responsibility for this role is to manage the shift with the despatch of all finished goods while working with production teams to meet customer delivery needs.
The duties of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Set up and prepare production lines for an efficient start, including machine build-up.
- Ensure safe operation of machinery throughout the shift.
- Motivate and lead your team to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Work closely with the Shift Manager to optimise team utilization.
- Oversee quality control, ensuring all products meet customer specifications.
- Complete required paperwork, including pre-operation checks and product changeovers.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Troubleshoot operational challenges, including staffing and stock control.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Product Quality: Ensure all products meet sealing, labelling, packaging, and weight standards.
- Line Efficiency: Maximise production output and minimize downtime.
- Team Development: Support, train, and coach team members.
- Compliance: Maintain accurate paperwork and adhere to health & safety regulations.
- Communication: Ensure strong coordination with all relevant departments..
