We are currently looking for a caring and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing and stimulating school in the Enfield area starting in September. This will be a full-time role working Monday to Friday 8:30-4:00pm.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with the classroom teacher to deliver engaging activities and help students reach their full potential on a 1:1 or small group basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored learning, therapy and personal care programmes on a 1:1 basis or small groups
- Work closely with teachers to design engaging activities
- Encourage positive behaviours and create an inclusive and safe environment
- Observe and monitor pupils progress to gather feedback for the teachers
- Maintain high standards of Safeguarding, health and safety
The ideal candidate
- Able to commit to full-time hours from September
- Has a minimum of 3 months SEND experience
- Is patient, empathetic and remains positive during challenges
- A Child Only DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Live local to Enfield or willing to commute
