Duties
- Deliver personalized tutoring sessions in core subjects, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs, including those with special education requirements.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote active learning and critical thinking skills.
- Build trusting relationships with students, providing emotional support and mentoring to enhance their wellbeing and self-esteem.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and caregivers to monitor student progress and tailor interventions accordingly.
- Facilitate group activities focused on social-emotional learning, resilience building, and peer support.
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, student progress, and wellbeing initiatives to ensure continuous improvement.
- Promote a safe, inclusive environment where all students feel valued, supported, and motivated to succeed.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in tutoring or teaching children or young people in educational settings.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with students of varying ages and backgrounds.
- Experience working with children requiring special education or additional learning support is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of teaching strategies that accommodate different learning styles and developmental needs.
- Passion for supporting youth development through education and wellbeing programs.
- Excellent organizational skills to plan sessions, track progress, and coordinate with team members.
- Ability to remain energetic, positive, and proactive in a fast-paced environment dedicated to student success.

Pay: £20.00-£28.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
