Overview
Looking to employ an experienced care assistant to join our team who support my mum and stepdad who are both wheelchair users, to start asap.
Between 12 and 15hrs a week, as required
£13.50 per hour with the potential for additional hours to cover holidays etc.
4hrs Monday and Tuesday morning, 9am till 1pm
2hrs twice a week in the evening, 6pm till 8pm
Times are flexible, to be discussed.
To support with medication, personal care/showering, preparing meals, moving and handling support and general housekeeping.
Occasionally outings, hospital or gp appointments so driving licence preferred, we have an accessible motabilty vehicle.
Employment subject to successful DBS checks, references and 3 months probation

Responsibilities
- Assist my mum and stepdad with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
- Support my mum and stepdad with medication reminders and basic health monitoring as required. My stepdad has a catheter so some knowledge/ experience would be beneficial
- Provide companionship and emotional support, they love a chat over a cuppa
- Drive my mum and stepdad to appointments, errands, or social activities safely and reliably using motabilty wheelchair adapted vehicle when required
Experience
- Previous experience in home care is preferred
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members
- Valid driving license is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Compassionate attitude with excellent interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients
