Driver/Goods Inwards Operative, Steel Workshop – Job Advert
Morspan Construction Ltd are the market leader in supplying clear span steel framed poultry buildings. We are an established company with over 25 years of experience in the agricultural sector and have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable team player, to join our Company.
We are looking for a Driver/Good Inwards Operative to work within our steel workshop. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a similar environment and operating forklift and side loaders, although full training will be provided. We are looking for a self-motivated, practical individual with the ability to work well with others.
The position is based at our main office in Llancayo, South Wales.
Typical duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Operate forklift and side loader to load and unload.
- Daily checks to the forklift and side loader, reporting damage or maintenance
- Reporting any damage or maintenance requirements in the steel yard
- To accept goods inwards, check delivery orders
- Checking all steel deliveries against engineering dwgs for tolerance and any signs of damage
- Correct storage & labelling of all materials within the steel yard
- Moving materials into/out of the workshop when required
- Maintain a clean working environment, general housekeeping of the steel rack and steel yard
Following completion of a 3-month trial period, this is a permanent position.
- Immediate start
- Full time Monday – Thursday 7:00 – 17:00, Friday 7:00 – 16:30
- Salary dependent on experience.
- 28 days annual leave entitlement (inc bank holidays), increases with length of service
