Operations Manager UK Job description:
The Operations Manager role is mainly to implement the right processes and practices across the organisation. The specific duties of an Operations Manager include formulating strategy, improving performance, procuring material and resources and securing compliance. You should be ready to mentor your cleaning team and partnership contractors, find ways to increase the quality of customer service and implement best practices across all levels.

Direct Reports – Operational Administrator
Role:
- Effective, ongoing and structured management of the contract management team
- Ongoing Health and Safety reviews across contract portfolio
- Regular reviews with clients to ensure full compliance at all times
- Ensure clarity of responsibility for the site team through briefings and daily communication.
- Strong communicator across all aspects of the business
- Excellent presentation skills to wider audience and to Board members
- Effective negotiating skills
- Attendance and participation at Tender presentations with Business Head
- Monthly Report – performance of contract portfolio
- Analytical reporting of all contract’s performance – based on budget set for each contract
- Strong aptitude for Sales and Marketing techniques
- Regular performance and target reviews of the management team
- Appraisals for the team
- Holding and execution of Disciplinary hearings for the team
- Financial acumen – Full P&L responsibility for your contracts
- Liaise with clients and customers at all levels to improve service delivery.
- Development of new business opportunities for the sales department
Person Specification: Essential:
- Proven successful working relationships with high-end service providers
- Experience in a customer facing role, with a proven track record of building client relationships
- Self-motivated
- A motivator and leader of people
- Strong leadership qualities across all levels of the business
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and IT programmes
- P&L accountability for all contracts
- Commercial awareness
- Strong communicator
- Excellent presentation skills
- IT Skills – Intermediate / Advanced level
- Be prepared to travel and work away from home as the contract dictates
Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years’ experience of a similar role working in either a Managing Agent or FM Contractor setting
- Formal qualifications in the Hard FM sector are desirable – HNC/HND in Building Engineering Services, or higher
- Membership of the IWFM or other related professional body is desirable

- Technical background and qualification in M&E Industry.

- IOSH Managing Safely
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
