Warehouse Operative
The Role
To contribute to the success of the Business by effectively discharging duties allocated to the role in line with the Company’s Procedures and to a high standard and within acceptable time limits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving and handling stock through the local supply chain
- Pick, convert, pack and palletise customer orders
- Label, wrap and band customer orders
- Deal with “goods in”
- Check delivery notes
- Load and unload vehicles and put goods away as instructed using a forklift truck
- Dealing with customer collections
- Willingness to become trained on bed saw, beam saw , guillotine and sheeter conversion machines
- Follow all Health & Safety Procedures at all times
- Maintain housekeeping standards in the warehouse, goods yard and car parks
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the Business
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday
Rotating weekly shifts:
- Week 1: 10am – 6:30pm (60 minute unpaid break)
- Week 2: 12pm – 8:30pm (60 minute unpaid break)
Total: 37.5 hours per week
Start Date: As soon as possible (or as soon as can be arranged)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £25,350 - £26,000 per year (depending on experience)

Education, Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- A qualification in English, Maths
- A forklift truck certificate of competence for counterbalance and reach trucks
- Relevant warehousing and storage certification would be beneficial
- Warehouse experience would be beneficial
