Salary: £16 per hour
Job Type: Permanent, full-time
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 6:30am – 3:15pm
Every third weekend worked as paid overtime, carrying out additional yard duties

The Role:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Offload Team Leader to join our team. This is a hands-on supervisory role where you will lead the daily offloading operation, ensuring recyclable materials are unloaded safely, efficiently, and sorted correctly while maintaining high standards of health and safety.

Responsibilities:
Supervise the daily unloading of company vehicles
Ensure incoming materials are unloaded safely, efficiently, and sorted into the correct material streams
Lead by example, promoting a positive Health & Safety culture and ensuring compliance with company procedures and relevant legislation
Monitor the quality of incoming recyclable materials, identifying contamination or unsuitable loads and reporting any issues
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe offloading area
Report accidents, incidents, near misses, equipment defects, and operational issues promptly, supporting investigations and corrective actions where required
Work closely with the Facility Manager to ensure the smooth running of the offloading operation
Support the Facility Manager with day-to-day operational tasks and any additional duties as required
Assist the Facility Manager with continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and health & safety performance
About you:
Essential
Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse, recycling, waste management, logistics, manufacturing, or similar operational environment
Strong leadership and communication skills
Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements
Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workloads
A proactive and reliable approach to work
