Senior Children's Support Worker - Responsibilities
- Build professional relationships and provide day-to-day care for young people
- Encourage positive self-identity and personal development
- Promote educational, developmental, and community opportunities
- Support health, well-being, and social inclusion
- Manage and encourage positive behaviours, addressing challenges per guidelines
- Apply trauma-informed practices with empathy and resilience
- Collaborate with young people, families, colleagues, and agencies
- Support family relationships through home visits and placement plans
- Maintain high-quality records per Fosse’s policies
- Assist with domestic tasks and preparing nutritious meals with young people
- Lead shifts in the absence of Deputy or Registered Manager
Senior Children's Support Worker - Qualifications & Skills
- NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in Working with Children and Young People
- At least 6 months’ experience working with children or adults
- Working understanding of key legislations and regulations
- Committed to promoting the safety and wellbeing of children
- Good organisational, administrative, and delegation skills
- Empathy and resilience towards others
- Positive attitude towards diversity, independence, and inclusion
