Seasonal Porter - Egham

As a Porter Cleaner, you will play an important role in supporting both the cleaning operations and the day-to-day running of the building during the university’s busy summer conferencing season.
The Job:
Locations: Royal Holloway University of London, Egham, TW20 0EX
Hours: 8am - 4pm, 5 days over 7, with some flexibility during busy periods.
Job Type: Temporary contract June to September 2026.
Pay rate: £14.45 per hour, paid 4-weekly.
As a Porter Cleaner, you will support both cleaning and porter services within your designated area of the site.
At the start of each shift, you will check your schedule for the day and ensure you have the equipment and supplies needed to complete your tasks.
Your responsibilities will include:
Cleaning duties

Dusting and wiping surfaces

Vacuuming and sweeping floors

Emptying bins and managing waste disposal

Cleaning toilets and washroom facilities

Carrying out specialist cleaning tasks when required, such as carpet cleaning or high-level cleaning
Porter duties
-
Removal of rubbish in Kitchen & rooms
- Stripping Beds & remove the Linen
- Take the linen to the collection areas
- Take the bundles of linen to rooms as required
- Vacuum all corridors, staircase all rooms
Supply the team with supplies as required
