Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that promote learning, development, and socialisation among children
- Supervising children at all times to ensure their safety and well-being
- Supporting children's emotional and behavioural needs with patience and understanding
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
- Assisting with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and personal care
- Contributing to the development of individualised care plans for each child
- Upholding nursery policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory standards
- Participating in team meetings and ongoing professional development sessions
- Occasionally driving children or staff members when required for nursery outings or activities
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a nursery or early childhood education setting is highly desirable
- Proven ability to work effectively with children of various ages
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and safeguarding procedures
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care or equivalent are preferred
- Passionate about early childhood development with a caring, patient demeanour
