Westmount Dental Surgery is an established group of private dental practices seeking a Dental Receptionist to join our team of professionals at our state-of-the-art facility.
This position is for Wednesdays and Fridays.
The ideal candidate will have outstanding customer care experience. While dental experience is preferred, it is not essential.
You will be joining an experienced team and will be supported by our Clinic Manager. The role involves managing patient interactions both in person and over the telephone, making appointments, operating the practice recall system, and handling cash. Experience with Dentally dental software is ideal but not essential. A key responsibility will be ensuring each patient receives an outstanding patient journey.
The successful candidate must be a team player who is patient-focused, possesses excellent communication skills, is well-spoken, and will serve as an ambassador for the Westmount Dental brand.
Duties will include :-
- Operate the practice software (Dentally)
- Answering the telephone and deal with patient enquiries in an efficient, positive and friendly manner
- Receive patients and visitors in a prompt, friendly professional manner
- Notify Clinicians of the patient's arrival
- Schedule patient appointments in accordance with practice policies and keep records of all appointments.
- Operate the practice recall system
- Prepare day sheets for each Clinician
- Collect and record patient payments and pursue any debts in accordance with the practice payments policy
- Liaise with dental laboratories, suppliers and organisations and record laboratory work in and out of the practice
- Deal with patient feedback in an appropriate manner and feed back to the practice manager about patient comments and complaints
- Support the sales of dental sundries to patients and ensure patients are provided the patients advice on the appropriate sundries for the their dental health to successful sale
- Manage the appointment book effectively to ensure targets are met
- Keep the reception are clean, tidy and welcoming
- Engage conversation with patients to ensure they feel at ease
- Attend regular weekly reception meetings
- Follow all policies in line with CQC requirements
- Act confidentially
- Speak up if things go wrong
- Ensure the environment is safe
