ANZUK Education is working with a range of primary schools across Portsmouth seeking dedicated and adaptable Primary Teachers for immediate supply opportunities. These short-term and long-term positions offer the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to pupil progress across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in supportive and well-established school environments.
These schools are known for strong leadership visibility, collaborative staff teams, and clear behaviour systems, creating environments where teachers can focus on delivering high-quality teaching and achieving strong pupil outcomes.
These Primary Teacher roles across Portsmouth would suit experienced primary teachers, ECTs building their classroom experience, or supply teachers looking to secure consistent and rewarding placements.
Key Responsibilities of a Primary Teacher:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum across KS1 and/or KS2
- Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, attainment, and behaviour
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and personal development
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues when required
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold a recognised UK teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
- Be a confident ECT or experienced teacher within a primary school setting
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of the National Curriculum across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2
- Maintain high expectations for pupil progress, attainment, and behaviour
- Hold an exemplary commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and families
