The Growth Company’s (GC) Business Growth Hub (BGH) team has an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst to work with internal teams and stakeholders to develop and maintain reporting. The role supports Business Intelligence and involves analysing data to produce management information aligned with performance frameworks, targets and operational needs.
BGH supports businesses across Greater Manchester with expert advice on funding, innovation, people, sales and sustainability. We provide tailored support to meet the needs of each business at every stage of its growth journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain and manage business-critical data capture and reporting systems in line with performance frameworks and contractual requirements.
- Produce accurate, timely and well-presented management information reports for a range of stakeholders.
- Analyse data to assess quality, identify trends and support informed decision-making.
- Support Business Intelligence activity, including Power BI reporting and dashboard creation.
- Engage with Service Heads and stakeholders to understand data requirements and recommend improvements.
- Design and deliver surveys, analyse responses and present findings to support business insights.
- Champion self-service data and promote data discovery through workshops and engagement activities.
- Monitor systems, data quality and reporting outputs to ensure consistency and compliance.

- Able to translate complex data into clear and meaningful insights.

- Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous learning and development.
Skills Required:
- Strong data analysis, modelling and interpretation skills.
- Advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables and dashboards.
- Experience of SQL and database query tools.
- Knowledge of management information systems and data processes.
- Ability to handle large and complex datasets and identify trends.
- Experience using Power BI, DAX and Power Query is beneficial.
- Understanding of relational databases and business modelling.
- Experience working with CRM systems and reporting to senior stakeholders.
