Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Japanese cuisine, particularly sushi preparation, and will be committed to delivering authentic and high-quality dishes. Duties
- Prepare a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, maki rolls, and speciality items, ensuring presentation meets high standards of quality and aesthetics
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the sushi station in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Source fresh ingredients daily and manage inventory levels efficiently
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Innovate new sushi recipes and menu items in line with current culinary trends
- Adhere strictly to food safety standards and hygiene protocols at all times
- Assist in training junior staff members on sushi preparation techniques and presentation skills
- Ensure all dishes are prepared consistently and to the restaurant’s specifications
Skills
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role within a professional kitchen environment
- Extensive knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sushi techniques, and ingredient handling
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in food presentation
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of quality
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to food preparation environments
- Creative flair for developing innovative sushi dishes that appeal to diverse customer preferences

Time we need flexible time. 6am-2:30pm/11am-7:30pm. Mostly will be closing shift that we need.
Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour
