Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Abrasive and Welding Technical Specialist to join our innovative engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing abrasive and welding products including our own brand and competitors. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilise advanced technical skills in a dynamic and state of the art abrasive and welding laboratory. Candidates with a strong foundation in sales within the abrasive and welding industry are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities
- Analyse abrasive and welding products to identify performance compared with competitors. causes of defects or inefficiencies, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Stock quality and control monitoring defects or inefficiencies in performance.
- Provide support to the sales teams via written or oral information.
- If required, attend sales meetings with the Regional Sales Managers to support their conversion from a technical perspective.
- Conduct laboratory demonstrations on behalf of the Regional Sales Managers to potential large customers considering changing their abrasive and welding supplier.
- Maintain abrasive and welding machinery within the laboratory.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of both the abrasive and welding market including competitors and brands of consumables.
- Proficiency in abrasive and welding techniques, including all wire and stick. Cutting, Polishing and Grinding.
- Experience of operating automatic grinding and polishing machines preferred but not essential.
- An understanding of the sales cycle.
- Experience in product quality and control testing.
Pay: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
