Baby Room Practitioner – Join Our Team
Are you a passionate and experienced Early Years Practitioner who loves supporting babies as they grow, explore and develop? We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic practitioner to join our team within our state-of-the-art nursery, providing exceptional care and creating meaningful experiences for our youngest children.
As a Baby Room Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing high-quality physical, emotional, social and intellectual care, ensuring every child feels safe, secure and valued. You will support babies through their earliest stages of development, building strong relationships and creating a nurturing environment where they can explore, learn and thrive.
We are looking for a practitioner with a minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience who has a strong understanding of the needs of babies and young children. You will be confident in supporting children’s individual development, creating responsive routines and providing engaging experiences that promote curiosity, confidence and wellbeing.
You will be a positive and proactive team member who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues to meet the changing needs of the children in your room. You will help create an enabling environment where children can play, develop and learn through meaningful interactions and experiences.
Strong partnership working with parents and carers is an essential part of this role. You will build trusting relationships with families, share children’s progress and ensure each child’s individual needs, routines and interests are understood and supported.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience working within Early Years;
- Is passionate about providing outstanding care and experiences for babies;
- Has a warm, nurturing and responsive approach;
- Is confident supporting children’s development through play, exploration and everyday experiences;
- Understands the importance of secure attachments and positive relationships;
- Works well as part of a team and supports colleagues when required;
- Builds positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
The successful candidate will hold either an HNC Childhood Practice or SVQ Level 3 Children and Young People’s Services qualification. Further training and professional development opportunities will be provided to support your continued growth.
