Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team for the late shift. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for culinary arts and food service, looking to contribute to a busy kitchen environment. The successful candidate will support meal preparation, food safety, and general kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service during evening hours. Previous experience in catering or restaurant settings is preferred, but training will be provided for the right candidate. Responsibilities
- Assist in meal and food preparation, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards
- Support the kitchen team with food safety and hygiene practices in accordance with health regulations
- Prepare ingredients and organise supplies for efficient service
- Serve food and beverages to customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, utensils, and equipment throughout the shift
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
- Support the team during busy periods by performing various kitchen duties as required
- Shifts will be 15:00 - 01:00 and 20:00 - 01:00
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety standards
- Familiarity with meal preparation and food safety regulations
- Experience with serving customers in a fast-paced setting is advantageous
- Enthusiasm for culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills within a professional kitchen setting
