Tropical Glass is a growing e-commerce business specialising in terrariums, houseplants, DIY kits and unique plant gifts. We carefully prepare and dispatch customer orders across the UK, with a strong focus on quality, presentation and customer experience.
We are looking for a reliable, practical and detail-focused person to join our small team as an Order Fulfilment Assistant.
This role is more than just packing boxes. You will be preparing customer orders that often include delicate items such as glassware, plants, terrarium kits and gifts. Accuracy, care and consistency are very important.
You do not need plant knowledge. Full training will be provided. What matters most is that you are reliable, willing to learn, comfortable with practical hands-on work and able to follow processes carefully.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders
- Preparing terrarium kits, plant gifts and product components
- Checking orders carefully before dispatch
- Handling glassware, plants and delicate products with care
- Keeping the packing area clean, tidy and organised
- Receiving and organising stock
- Helping with inventory checks and stock locations
- Following packing processes and quality standards
- Supporting general warehouse and studio tasks
- Learning basic plant care and terrarium preparation
- Occasionally assisting customers visiting our studio
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing a job properly and enjoys practical work.
You may have experience in warehouse, e-commerce, retail, hospitality, kitchen work, floristry, production, packing, crafts, stockroom work or another hands-on role.
You should be:
- Reliable and punctual
- Positive and willing to learn
- Comfortable receiving feedback
- Careful with details
- Organised and tidy
- Able to follow instructions and processes
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
- Comfortable being on your feet during the day
- Able to lift and move boxes safely
- Confident handling fragile products
- Comfortable working in a studio with a friendly dog
- Ideally living within around 45 minutes of N22 6AG
- Have the full right to work in the UK
Previous warehouse or pick-and-pack experience is helpful, but not essential if you have the right attitude, attention to detail and willingness to learn.
