Belmont House Care Home, one of the best care homes in the South West, is looking for a Bank Domestic Assistant to join our outstanding team!
You will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and the team. Shifts are 0800-1400 Monday-Sunday. The beauty of working as a bank domestic assistant is that you can pick and choose when you work! We tell you when we have availability (mainly because of sickness or annual leave) and you tell us when you can work! You have complete flexibility for choosing what you work based on availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean residents' bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard.
- Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
- Safely use cleaning products and equipment.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
- Complete cleaning records accurately.
- Report maintenance issues, hazards or concerns promptly.
- Respect residents' privacy, dignity and personal belongings.
- Work closely with care, catering and maintenance colleagues.
About YouThe successful applicant will be:
- Reliable, punctual and well organised.
- Kind, respectful and comfortable working around older or vulnerable people.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledgeable about hygiene and infection control, or willing to learn.
- Physically able to carry out cleaning duties safely.
- Experienced in domestic, healthcare or commercial cleaning, although training can be provided.
