We are looking for a reliable, organised and hardworking Laundry Assistant to join our team.
The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, take pride in their work and understand the importance of providing a friendly and professional service to our customers.
The Role
As a Laundry Operative, your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving and sorting customer laundry
- Checking items carefully and identifying stains, damage or special requirements
- Washing and drying laundry using the correct programmes and products
- Folding, finishing and preparing laundry to a high standard
- Accurately sorting and packaging customer orders
- Checking orders carefully before they are returned to customers
- Maintaining accurate customer and order records
- Handling cash and card payments accurately
- Providing excellent customer service and dealing with customer enquiries
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised working environment
- Cleaning and maintaining laundry equipment as required
- Following company health, safety and hygiene procedures
- Working efficiently to meet daily deadlines
- Treating all customer belongings with care and respect
Essential Skills & Qualities

- Experience or confidence with cash handling

Previous Experience
Previous experience in a laundry, cleaning, housekeeping, hospitality, retail or customer service environment would be beneficial, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will be someone who genuinely takes pride in their work and understands that attention to detail is essential when dealing with customers' personal belongings and business linen.
You will be organised, dependable and able to maintain high standards even when working in a busy environment.
Excellent customer service is particularly important, as you will represent Crisp Linen Co Ltd and be one of the first points of contact for our customers.
