We are seeking a Wood Finisher to join our team, specialising in the finishing and detailing of high-quality flooring. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, demonstrate proficiency with various tools and techniques, and have experience working within a manufacturing or construction environment. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the creation of premium wooden flooring, ensuring they meet our exacting standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Apply finishing techniques to wood surfaces, including sanding, staining, varnishing, and sealing to achieve desired aesthetic effects.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for shaping, smoothing, and detailing wood components.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the finishing process to ensure consistency and adherence to design standards.
- Assist with movement and protective wrapping of finished goods.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, including proper storage of tools and materials.
- Follow safety protocols at all times when operating machinery or handling hazardous materials.
Requirements
- Keen eye to detail and attention to work in hand
- Warehouse experience or background in construction painting is advantageous, but full training is provided
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Position is temporary currently but could lead to a full time offer
Pay: £12.50-£13.50 per hour
