Duties
- Provide attentive personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, mobility, and medication administration via PEG
- Provide respiratory physio, oral suctioning and be trained in epilepsy and emergency medication
- Support client in maintaining their daily routines and activities, fostering independence and confidence
- Assist with household tasks such as meal preparation, light cleaning, and shopping errands and school runs if needed
- Develop and follow tailored care plans to meet individual needs and preferences
- Maintain clear communication with client, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent care delivery
- Use your driving skills to transport clients safely to appointments, social activities, or outings
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns promptly to relevant healthcare providers
Skills
- Proven experience in caring for SEN children, oral suctioning, CPAP, medication administration and PEG Is essential, however training can be given to the right person.
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Ability to operate IT devices for documentation, updating care plans, and scheduling appointments
- Valid driving license with reliable vehicle access for client transportation (must be over 25 to drive disability vehicle)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring, respectful approach towards client
- Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately while adapting to changing needs when necessary
Hours are:
Monday-Friday- a split shift of 6am-9am and 3pm-8pm
There is the option of extra hours: evening/night shift ever other Saturday and when the client is off of school during holidays or due to illness. this is on an as and when basis and is optional
