ABOUT EQUIPPD
Equippd designs and installs beautiful, functional, and sustainable technology for luxury homes. Every project is different - some directly for homeowners, others in partnership with leading interior designers and architects - but the goal is always the same: to perfectly match technology to our clients lifestyles.
We're a close-knit team of engineers and designers who care about doing things properly. Operating in a luxury service industry means our clients expect a high standard - and we hold ourselves to the same. Behind every well-delivered project is design work that is accurate, clearly communicated, and delivered on time, and that's where this role comes in.
THE ROLE
We're looking for someone with strong digital design skills and a genuine passion for technology to join our design team. You'll be responsible for producing the design deliverables that our projects are built from - and, on smaller projects, taking the lead: owning the design, keeping it on programme and within budgeted hours, and acting as the technical design point of contact for everyone involved.
You'll work closely with our engineering team, and directly with external stakeholders such as architects, interior designers, and building contractors. You'll have clear systems, templates, and processes to work from. What we require is someone who can work accurately and proactively within those systems, prioritise a varied workload, and take ownership of the design on the projects they lead.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Design & Deliverables
- Producing and revising design deliverables - structured cable diagrams, set-outs, schedules, rack schematics, and others.
- Ensuring design quality and accuracy across all project phases.
- Assisting in the creation of new deliverable templates and the improvement of existing ones.
Document Control & Quality Assurance
- Owning document control and version release, keeping the document register up to date on the projects you lead.
- Reviewing and approving drawings and technical submittals through our approval process.
- Managing Change Request Notices (CRNs) - updating them and communicating changes to the directors
- Resolving design-related issues and scope changes promptly.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
- Acting as a technical design contact for stakeholders including architects, interior designers, project managers, and site teams.
- Communicating directly with our engineering team, ensuring they have the right information when they need it.
- Creating Design Team Meeting (DTM) agendas, planning meetings in advance, and following up on actions.
- Attending site visits to gather information, monitor progress, resolve queries, and ensure work stays true to the design intent.
