Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the finance department and ensuring the smooth operation of all financial processes. This position is based in the United Kingdom and requires a strong understanding of UK accounting principles and regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and oversee the accounts team, ensuring accurate and well-maintained financial records. - Prepare monthly management accounts in a timely manner to support strategic business decisions. - Administer and process in-house payroll submissions. - Maintain and update sales and purchase ledgers to ensure accurate tracking of payments. - Prepare and submit VAT returns for multiple companies. - Collaborate with auditors to produce year-end financial accounts. - Work closely with other departments to improve financial and operational efficiencies. - Undertake ad hoc financial tasks to support business needs. Skills and Experience: - Previous experience in a Finance Manager or similar role is desirable. - Strong knowledge of UK accounting practices and regulations is essential. - Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and data entry. - Strong organisational and time management skills. - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality. - A collaborative team player with a proactive attitude. - Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
