We are looking to further expansion and are looking for someone to fill a Drainage engineer role with us.
Established in 1977, Drainrod Ltd is a family run drainage contractor undertaking all aspects of drainage repairs and maintenance for the domestic, commercial, and industrial markets. Working in both the private and public sector we have developed a wealth of equipment, skills, and experience to become one of South Wales’ leading contractors.
The role will entail operating one of our Combination HGV's, these vehicles have different applications so an ability to adapt to each is vital. This includes but isn't limited to operating specialist heavy machinery equipped to HGV wagons and Vans, Out of hours works and emergency response, High pressure water jetting. As each day is varied by both job and location: you will have to respond to changing events and solve problems in real time. You will be emptying sewage or waste tanks, fixing external and internal blockages, keeping in touch with the office, and making recommendations for further works where necessary.
Candidates ideally will have drainage experience. However we will provide drainage training both professional and on the job.
The successful candidate will possess a can-do attitude and a willingness to develop, along with good communication skills, initiative and the ability to work well as part of a team. Ability to adapt to OOH work and overtime is beneficial. Overtime rates are in addition to weekly pay and are 1.5x pay and 2x pay.
