Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, organised, and proactive Business Assistant to join our friendly nursing home team. This is a varied and rewarding role supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the home while helping to create a positive experience for residents, relatives, visitors, prospective clients, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and organise administrative tasks using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Maintain accurate digital records, databases, and filing systems
- Assist residents, relatives, visitors, and staff with enquiries and day-to-day support
- Proactively respond to and assist with enquiries from prospective clients and families
- Support managers and staff with administrative tasks and communication
- Monitor compliance documentation, audits, and service records
- Coordinate and track service schedules and maintenance requirements
- Assist with organising residents’ activities and events
- Prepare newsletters, notices, and internal communications
- Help ensure the home operates efficiently, professionally, and in line with regulatory standards
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable, and compassionate
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft Office, email systems, and digital record-keeping systems
- Able to multitask and manage competing priorities
- Professional and confident when dealing with residents, families, prospective clients, and external professionals
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Previous administration or care sector experience is desirable but not essential
- The position is subject to DBS check and satisfactory references
