We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Labourer / Machine Operative to join a well-established sheet metal manufacturing business based in Halifax.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-established engineering company that specialises in the manufacture of high-quality sheet metal components for customers across a range of industries.
Working a 4-day week, this role is ideal for somebody with previous manufacturing or engineering experience who is looking to develop their career within a modern production environment.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the manufacture of sheet metal components
- Operating and supporting production machinery
- Loading and unloading materials
- Preparing materials for production
- Using hand and power tools safely
- Carrying out quality checks on finished products
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Supporting skilled fabricators and machine operators where required
Requirements
- Previous experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Machine operating experience would be highly advantageous
- Experience working with sheet metal is desirable but not essential
- Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Able to work accurately and safely within a busy production environment
