Job Summary
District +84 is a new Vietnamese deli and café opening on Belmont Road, Uxbridge, serving bánh mì and phở alongside coffee and drinks. We're looking for a Part-Time Front of House Assistant to work 3–4 days a week (10:30–19:30) to help run the counter, serve customers, and keep the place running smoothly during opening and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and take orders at the counter, explaining the menu (including allergens and spice levels) where needed
- Serve food and drinks accurately, keeping to food safety and presentation standards
- Assist with basic prep - building bánh mì, portioning phở, prepping garnishes and sides
- Keep the dining area, counter, and kitchen clean and tidy throughout the day
- Handle cash and card payments and keep the till accurate
- Support with stock rotation and restocking during service
- Help open or close the shop as needed, including basic setup and breakdown
- Pitch in wherever needed during busy periods to keep service moving
What We're Looking For
- Experience in hospitality, café, or restaurant service is a bonus but not essential - full training given
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety practices (Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate desirable, not required)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, small-team environment
- Friendly, reliable, and happy to get stuck in
- Interest in Vietnamese food and culture a plus, but not a requirement
- Must be available across the 3–4 days a week (part-time)
Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
