Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Multi Drop Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to multiple locations within designated routes. This role requires excellent organisational skills, a clean driving licence, and the ability to manage time effectively to ensure timely deliveries. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on customer satisfaction and safety.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
- Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and minimise delays
- Load and unload goods, often involving heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly for transit
- Deliver packages to multiple addresses within specified timeframes, maintaining professionalism and courtesy with customers
- Collect signatures or proof of delivery as required
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance needs
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues that may arise
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence with a clean driving record; a <PERSON> driver qualification is preferred
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles
- Experience working in warehouse environments or handling heavy lifting tasks is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating responsibility and punctuality
- Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of driving or standing
- Knowledge of local roads and navigation skills to optimise routes effectively
